Congress Sends Clear Message to President - Now it's Your Turn
Last week, due to your outreach, 45 Senators sent a letter to President Obama, requesting his immediate action to stop the October 1 funding cuts. This letter follows a May letter from 171 members of the House of Representatives with the same request. These Congressional letters send the President a clear message that he has the bipartisan support from federal legislators to rescind the rate cut regulation enacted by the previous Administration.
Now it is time for us to turn our attention directly to the White House. President Obama needs to hear from the hospice community that the hospice rate cuts will be detrimental for patients and for programs. Please take a few moments to call today, and let us know that you called by providing feedback when you are finished. Also, forward this message to your friends and family so that we can light up the White House switchboard with Hospice Advocates!
