Wild Dame Dinner

The 3^rd Annual Wild Dame Dinner promises to be THE event of 2008!  Thursday, September 18^th, 7 PM, New Braunfels Civic Convention Center.  Last year’s event proved to be a second annual, unforgettable night for ladies to relax, have fun and make a “best memory with girl friends”.  Marty Lindley, Chairperson says, “The 2008 Wild Dame Dinner will provide even more opportunities for the “boa babes” to make memories, as our venue moves to the spacious New Braunfels Civic Convention Center and the The Texas Piano Man, Keith Magel, returns as our main entertainment.  Mike Fitsko, as our “MC in Tux”, will be joined by Shelly Miles of San Antonio WOAI-News 4.  Shelly directs commuters to work every morning with traffic updates and is a reporter for the San Antonio Living show and News 4.  Mike and Shelly promise to keep the evening classy and lively.  

The pampering will begin as ladies arrive at the new Civic Convention Center, are greeted by a friendly smile, adorned with a hot-pink or lime green boa and offered a libation of their choice… and a “boa babe” will come alive for three memorable hours amidst this year’s theme of “Wild Dames Gone Green”.  Bellinies will flow as ladies graze on unique and delicious appetizers and desserts.  Shopping opportunities will include a silent auction, live auction, raffle tickets and the Wild Dame Awesome Prize … and all to benefit women and children living in the New Braunfels area.

“Our WDD Committee Members don’t just say they care about the women and children of New Braunfels, each lady works hard to fulfill an identified need.”  Lindley emphasized, “All the fun is secondary to our main goal of raising money to benefit women and children.  Last year’s Wild Dame Dinner event raised almost $40,000 dollars, donated to the Upstarts and Big Brothers - Big Sisters.  The first WDD raised almost $20,000 to benefit the SANE Program and Children’s Advocacy Center of Comal County.  This year our goal is to double our dollars to benefit two fantastic programs: Communities In Schools and the Hope Hospice Children’s Grief Program. 

To accomplish this grand goal, auction item donations and corporate sponsorship are needed.  Most businesses want to be a part of the evening and what better way to advertise than at the Wild Dame Dinner…. a captive collection of 650 Wild Dames of all ages!  Table sales will begin in July; $600 for table of 10 Wild Dames.  The past two years have immediately sold out.   Contact Marty Lindley for donation and sponsorship information – 830-708-5200. 

The Wild Dame Dinner event is sponsored by the Downtown Rotary Club of New Braunfels.  While the ladies are funning at the New Braunfels Civic Convention Center, the gentlemen members and their all-male guests will be feasting on wild game at the 20th annual Wild Game Dinner, held this year at the Scooter Store – Kay Harrison Auditorium.
