Camp Courageous
Making a difference for grieving children...
There are
now five ways to benefit from Camp Courageous...Camp Courageous
Families, Camp Courageous Summer, Camp Courageous Teens, Camp
Courageous Parents and Camp Courageous Youth!
Camp Courageous is
a special bereavement retreat that brings together the fun of
a recreational camp with grief support for children and families.
Campers spend a weekend of fun & healing with others who have
experienced the death of a loved one.
Camp counselors are Hope Hospice staff, as well as specially trained
volunteers from our community who have contributed their time year
after year.
Meals and lodging facilities (if an overnight
camp) are provided.

Camp Courageous offers:
- An environment for emotional healing
- Activities that include playing, connecting, reflecting,
memorializing, and support
- An opportunity to learn about the grieving experience
- Friendship and sharing with others who have lost a loved one
- Help in building healthy coping strategies
